Sanatan Dharmic Tradition

  • The Indian Sanatan (the ancient, perennial) Dharmic tradition encompasses the Hindu, Jain, Buddha, and Sikh paramparas that build on the ommon heritage to present their own dharmic way of life. All teach the basic values or duties a human being must follow in order to lead an exemplary life.
  • We wish to share this well-developed body of spiritual knowledge, that brings peace and blissfulness, with people in the United States. The Sanatana Dharma does not aim or attempt to convert people from other religions to their Dharma by enticement or by force.
  • We will be building shrines to the deities and saints from the Maharashtra state that will provide the foundation to build the cultural, religious, as well as educational content.
  • While each dharma makes distinctions in the finer aspects of spiritual pursuits and higher knowledge, the common values respected by all Sanatana Dharma adherents are:
  • Satya or Truth
  • Ahimsa or Refraining from injuring living beings
  • Shuchita or Purity
  • Sadichha or Goodwill
  • Daya or Mercy
  • Dhruti or Patience
  • Niyaman or Self-restraint
  • Udarata or Generosity and more
